Add some pop to your party! These custom party blowers are an extra special accent at any affair and best of all you can alter the colors to suit your style. We choose a palette of bright jewel tones and metallics for a dramatic summer look. Read on for complete instructions.

Supplies:

Tissue paper (Optional)
Patterned paper (wrapping paper or photo)
Paper straw
Ruler
Small clip, clothespin or rubber band
Craft glue (like Aleene's Tacky glue)
Scissors
Pencil
Bone folder (old credit card also works)
Downloadable template (Optional)

Step one:
Cut a rectangle from decorative paper that measures 3.25 "x 10". Or, skip the measuring and print our downloadable template - it will show you exactly where to cut and fold.

Step two:
Measure 1 "from each long side, score and fold as shown.

Step three:
Place a thin bead of glue down the center where the folds overlap, close and let dry. Fold over the top edge to seal the paper strip at one end. Glue and let dry.

Step four:
Starting with the sealed end, roll the paper strip tightly around a pencil. Secure with a clip or rubber band and set aside overnight.

Step five:
Cut paper straw in half and insert into the center of the paper strip's open end. Secure with glue.

Step six:
Fold in corners and secure with glue as shown.

Step seven:
Optional. Cut fringe from a strip of tissue paper. Wrap around party blower securing with glue.

Step eight:
Time to get festive!
